What is EFT Meridian Tapping?
The way I like to describe it - is like acupressure for the emotions...without the needles. It's a gentle process of lightly tapping with the fingertips on specific end meridian points, while verbalizing the distressing emotion, thought, feeling or physical sensation, with the intention of clearing the "charge". It's a venting tool.
EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique and was brought to the forefront by pioneer Gary Craig, who used it primarily with PTSD and war veterans.
EFT Tapping works with your body's innate electrical & energetic system by activating the parasympathetic nervous system to get you out of the flight/flight mode, and back into homeostasis, calm & ease.
What can EFT help with?
EFT Tapping can be used for anything: from stress to insomnia, fears & phobias, anticipatory anxiety, releasing anger, shame, guilt, frustration, clear resistance, manifesting, anchoring in more positive ways of thinking & being.
As an Advanced EFT Practitioner, many people ask me "Why would I want to tap on the negative, isn't that reinforcing it?" For this purpose, I say NO. And Louise Hay said it best when she said (and paraphrasing here) "How do you expect to clean a house if you can't see the dirt?" Tap & clear the crap :)
How does it work?
The theory behind EFT is that all negative emotions (and some physical symptoms) are a disruption in the body's electrical system. By tapping on these specific end Meridian points, we're able to clear the "charge" so that you can be more in your logic & reasoning in order to make decisions that are in alignment with your highest self.
